Dr. William Funk
Being a dentist in the northern Lancaster County area has been and continues to be the absolute best choice I could have made. Being surrounded by caring and interesting people who appreciate thorough, gentle, and informed treatment is a continual joy for me.
Connecting with so many people over so many years gives a foundation and fabric to my life and career that is far beyond just having a job and going to work. I am appreciative that I spend my days caring for my friends and look forward to their visits.

Personal Life
My wife Holly and I are originally from Phoenixville in Chester County. After spending eight years in the Philadelphia area while in college and dental school we moved to Burlington, Vermont for a hospital dental residency at the University of Vermont Medical System. The idea was to not only continue my dental training but to perhaps look at Vermont as a place to settle and start our family. While we enjoyed our time in Vermont the long winter and short summer soon got us thinking about returning to Pennsylvania.
Lancaster County was far enough from our home town to give us the feeling of independence and yet close enough to stay connected to our families so we began the process of selecting a location to start a new dental practice. We chose Denver in northern Lancaster County for a variety of reasons. Fast forward fifty years later-1974 to 2024-and that decision turned out to be the best we could have ever imagined. The dental practice we now call Cocalico Dental continues to treat patients with personal service and high quality treatment just as we envisioned way back in 1974.
Holly and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary right in the early days of the Covid pandemic in August 2020. Today our three grown children are well into adulthood and their families together have given us seven wonderful grandchildren (ages 18-6). Today my time in the dental office is limited to one day per week but still allows me to stay up to date in a profession which has been the backbone of my life for these many years. I thank all the thousands of folks I have been honored to interact with over my entire career for their support and trust.
